Experience And Event Designer Oslo, Norway
About me
Hello! I'm Jessica, 25 years of age and originally from an A4 twon called Førde on the west coast of Norway. My desire to create and work with art, events, communication and social change drew me however down to Oslo and more spesifically to Westerdals Oslo ACT. In which I received my BA in Experience and Event Design. I love people and meeting new personalities. In other words I should probably work in a very social environment with multiple deadlines due simultaneously. I live and thrive for a fast pase way of life since I am both curious and active. I use most of my time on a dance floor (used to be more professional), conserts or on a mountain.
Projects
  • Not Dead Yet!
Not Dead Yet!Not Dead Yet! - Was my dissertation project in which I wanted to show and engourge a more versitile and individual visualization of elderly in media and in society in general. I filmed a stunt where I tested how a group of elderly were treated by Oslo's youth-dominated night life. The result was a film with the intention of catalyzing others to think outside the box when it comes to how elderly generally are visualized in the Norwegian Media. In addition the main goal was to encourage people to

  • All Genders Can Be Sluts
All Genders Can Be SlutsDesign for own campaign to question why the word "slut" is most often related to the female sex. Using androgynous silhouette to illustrate that all genders can be sluts.
  • Do you Dare?
Do you Dare?Do You Dare? Was a promo event for Popsenteret (pop museum) and Musikkens Dag (a day of free music) in Oslo. Our task was to promote both the pop museum and Musikkens Dag, in which the museum was hosting one of the festival's biggest stages. However the museum and the stage's location was pretty hidden from public site, so we chosed to use infographics to lead the public to the location. In the middel of the square we placed a microphone with the sign: "Do you dare?". If people moved towards the microphone known sing-a-long songs blasted from hidden speakers and a group of people (us) dressed up in different music generas came running out with confetti and lyrics engoureging the person to sing a long. When the song was finished we gave them information about the museum and the stage's line up for the festival.
  • Palmelunden
PalmelundenArchicad drawings of my team's idea for a new park in the area Vulkan in Oslo, Norway. The boxes are both mirrors and display screens with the intention of showing student works from Westerdals School Of Art, Communication and Technology and Einar Granum, Fine Art School.
  • Utrykkt
UtrykktUtrykkt is a interactive exhibition project produced by ma and my creativecollective. "Utrykkt" is a fusion of two Norwegian words that mean afraid and expressed. The reason being that art is often seen as "high class" and therefore many are often afraid to approch art. We invite guests to interact with our installations to enhance that art and specifically installation work is for everyone. My first installation instigated people to draw on a cast of my own body to challenge their view on their perception of the female body. In other words, the installation started as a biological body and ended as a social structured one. We planned, budgeted and produced the whole event from making the art to creative campaigns on social media.
