About me
A passionate and tech-savvy Junior Product Owner with experience taking digital products from conception to launch with an agile team. After studying marketing at university, I started working in a marketing team, developing brands, managing events and building user journeys. I quickly learned that my passion lay with the customer, and that creating content or products that people loved spurred me on. This is what motivated me to become a Product Manager. As a Junior Product Owner, I am able to gain feedback and data directly from the user to then plan and implement design, UX or technical improvements for digital products. Seeing the impact this has on customer engagement and retention is extremely rewarding for me and it has encouraged me to expand my skills even further. Recently, I decided to take part in the award-winning, General Assembly Web Development Immersive program, where I learned how to develop full-stack web apps from scratch. Not only has this enabled me to have a deeper understanding of the products I am building, but it has also enabled me to communicate more effectively with the development teams and understand the challenges that are faced. I am now looking for a Junior Product Owner role where I can use my skills to add real value to a team.

Powwownow is one of the leading UCaaS providers in the UK, offering a wide range of products allowing people to conduct meetings remotely and work from home. My key responsibility was to work with the business, UX teams and development teams to improve the digital products within their portfolio, mainly their Web Meeting platform that allows users to make calls, chat and screen share online. Key Responsibilities: - Conducting product research using A/B tests, face-to-face user testing, Google Surveys, Google Analytics, Hotjar polls, recordings and heatmaps to build a full picture of product usage and user satisfaction. - Working in an Agile/Scrum team where I was creating user stories, adding to the backlog, prioritising tickets as well as working with the Customer Service team to address issues with the live product. - Developing products such as the Web Meeting product, Mobile App, Screen Share service and dial-out tool. - Establishing product vision, business goals, product roadmap, and rollout plans and presenting strategy, progress and product features to internal stakeholders at a senior level. Key Deliverable: A key deliverable within this role was to re-develop the welcome flow of the Web Meeting tool and also re-design the Hub; the central landing page where users could set up, and hold their meetings. Both sections of the product were underperforming, causing a drop-off in repeat usage. To solve these issues, I worked closely with the design and development teams to put together a new product entry flow based on user feedback I’d collected from face-to-face user testing, Google Analytics, and Hotjar feedback. My objectives were to increase repeat usage of the tool and improve the ratings of customer feedback on these pages. This was recognized almost immediately with an increase in positive feedback within the first week of launch and repeat usage increasing for new sign-ups
