About me
I am currently seeking a position as a sales or marketing professional which will allow me to further progress the experience, skills and knowledge I have gained during my university degrees and within my employments since leaving university in September 2017. For me, marketing is not ‘just a job’, it is a passion. During my time spent with both ABB and Barratt David Wilson Homes, I was able to really focus my skills within marketing and gained some invaluable experience which I am able to take forward into other employments. This includes copywriting for websites, emails, social media and blogs. As Barratt David Wilson Homes was a dual brand each I needed to be able to write in the different tone for each brand. Each new build development site had its own customer base, so it was also essential that I was able to adapt the copy to ensure it was captivating, relevant, accurate and clear for each audience whether this was on an email, social media post or on the development website. At Barratt David Wilson Homes, I was responsible for implementing multiple CRM campaigns at any given time by creating and sending emails to the customers using the CRM system (Adobe Campaign), measuring the success of the campaign and reporting these results to the relevant internal stakeholders on a monthly basis. I would also ensure that the messages on all social media posts, websites and property portals aligned with the current CRM campaign and include this in my monthly report. Another responsibility for me was to complete informal research on the local area which would later be used on the development website and portrayed in the site opening CRM campaign, this included commuting times and distances from the surrounding areas, local amenities, points of interest which were close by, and any other key interesting and historic facts about the area. In my other previous roles within retail and hospitality I have been responsible for supervising and supporting large teams where I was able to develop my skills in communication, teamwork, team management, collaboration, adaptability, patience and empathy. During my time at university, I was able to develop my skills for Microsoft Office and learn how to appropriately organise and effectively manage my time regarding my workload which I have then used in further employments. My time spent in employment where I have held a position within marketing has also allowed me to improve my problem solving skills and for my creativity and innovation to develop and flourish.
