I am a passionate and outgoing creative individual eager to get my hands stuck in to new ventures in the broadcast, music, fashion and events industries with an overwhelming knowledge of new music and social media. A competent & quick learner, working to tight deadlines is something I thrive within, harbouring a desire to make the most of every opportunity whilst pushing creative limits. I am always looking for new skills to learn (and bettering those I already have), with personal experience in a range of fields including event/ project management, play-listing, on-screen presenting, networking, artist liaison and production to name but a few.Locked Pro Plan feature
I have set up and running all music programming from the launch of MCR Live, acting as the first point of contact for labels and musicians at the network whilst curating A,B,C, Recurrent/Power Recurrent and New Indie lists. I liaise with all major labels, independents, management and musicians themselves. I also manage and organise music event coverage across the network - from sessions to interviews and takeovers on the station, which includes managing and sourcing a team of 120+ contributors. I reach out to brands to pitch ideas and create collaborative content. Thus far, I have worked with Brooklyn Brewery, Camden Town Brewery, From The Fields PR, WeWork, Native Youth, Reebok and the School of Sound Recording creating ideas and curating content from idea through to fruition. I am the lead video presenter on the station; highlights including interviews with Tame Impala, Citizen, Orbital and corporate content with Bluedot & Dot To Dot festival coverage, WeWork, FoundHER Festival & MIF. I also create artwork for the station - including designing everything from stickers to beer mats, produce evening shows, act as the secondary videographer and photographer to film/photograph events and other content and manage our DJs on the station.
Putting forward bands for a new-artist selection for the second year of Off The Record, of which my choice has gone on to sign a record deal and go on UK tours. Interviewed on behalf of the event for DIY magazine. Organised official coverage working with the festival including; promo videos, competitions, sourcing venues and bands for on-the-day coverage and putting together unique sessions with key musicians (with 15k views and upwards) on the line-up, interviews & over-view content. Sourcing contributors for blog coverage.
The first Digital Content Intern at XS Manchester/ Smooth Radio Northwest, I oversaw all digital content for XS Manchester including creating videos, graphics and running all social media for the station via my own scheduled Social plans that ran across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram linking to our YouTube and website. I also sourced content & creating high quality content that engaged with our audience, whilst reaching new crowds and growing the company's social reach exponentially. I worked heavily with show teams to promote and create unique video and blog content in line with what they had going on (and befitting their own personality), found the best clips from shows on Wavestreaming for cross promotion, sourced new bands, worked phones during shows, produced sessions and scheduled & segmented tracks and adverts using Genesys.
Organising and conducting interviews for national broadcast and social media buzz for the BBC Horizons/Gorwelion Project at various different events and festivals including Festival No.6, Truck, Focus Wales, Swn and Indie Week UK. I have since been called upon for help liaising and organising interviews for future coverage! Alongside this, I interviewed, ran Vox Pops, filmed and ran the street teamed for promotional activities throughout the events for social media & outreach thanks to my personable demeanour!
During my last year studying at University I ran the Cardiff branch of Sofar Sounds. This involved the entire creation and running of the renowned monthly events with responsibilities including sourcing 3 suitable acts, liaising and managing the artists, crew and audience, helping to source a suitable venue & controlling our social media. I also compered /MC'd the event, introduced the artists and acted as a personal point of contact for the audience throughout, whilst theming and making each Sofar entirely different from the next.
