The one thing I want out of my career is to have a positive impact on the world around me. My colleagues' and peers' happiness is incredibly important to me. I believe that the best things are achieved in life through team work and collaboration. I am creative, experimental, extremely ambitious and driven. Communication is paramount and I am a very open person. Not afraid to take on new challenges, learn new skills and share any experience and wisdom I can. I have streams of ideas and personal projects that I work on when not focussing on my job. However, I know when to take a break and let loose with friends and colleagues and I value down time. Hopefully I will have the chance to prove how valuable I am to a creative team.
I create a safe and comfortable environment for those in recovery from addiction and mental health illness. The trust aims to remove the taboos surrounding rehabilitation. I assist management and the board of trustees in organising and promoting events, financial aspects of the trust, creative projects and the day to day running of the charity.
This is an ongoing position that I work alongside my work with The Road to Recovery Trust. I am responsible for the presentation and upkeep of the shop floor and back of house. I regularly help display merchandise in an aesthetically pleasing way, whilst keeping stock and sales in mind. Lush is known for it's 5 star customer service and this is reflected in each and every employee including myself.
Since 2012, I have been working on projects for clients such as Lego, CBBC, Nickelodeon, Dr Oetker and Sky. I have also worked in agencies and studios on a freelance basis, completed private art commissions for clients in Barcelona, Switzerland and the U.S. I also work on self lead projects regularly and am always looking for new things to learn.
I taught levels 3, 4 and 5 in further and higher education. I taught across three different curriculums and three different awarding bodies. These were BTech, University of the Arts London (UAL) and degree level. I not only had to juggle a full time PGCE and another job, but was also required to mark projects, set briefs, provide feedback and tutorials, communicate with my students, plan lessons and workshops and ensure the safety and productivity of my students. This was an eye opening experience and one that I will always be extremely grateful for.
I have a PGCE in young person and adult education specialising in art & design. I graduated with a Distinction after completing the full-time course.
I qualified with a 2:1 and honours, along with a years industrial experience.
I graduated with a Merit, specialising in visual communications.
