About me

My work presents surreal landscapes and worlds depicting the horrors and difficulties surrounding mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. I use my work as a cathartic and therapeutic resource surrounding these issues but also to connect with people through their own challenging situations. My work uses fluid and ambiguous forms depicting similarities to the human form and landscapes that are somewhat deformed in nature forming a nightmarish escape. I use natural, organic materials such as watercolour and ink to express the fluidity and changeable nature of emotions, also using film and animation as a final process to connect with audiences and their emotions using voiceovers of my own poetry that is also subtle and changeable in context. jessicafay@inergiadesign.co.uk
