Generally this role consists of pitching news/reviews/features to the team, promoting DIY and the best and most current in the music industry, and writing articles for publication.
Front of house, hiring and returning equipment to and from students, dealing with queries, assisting with equipment use (if guidance needed).
I assist with the day-to-day running of the website, seeking out the latest music news and releases, and writing articles on them in a prompt manner. I continue to write release and live reviews, features, and conduct interviews.
Work includes writing articles for publication, and pitching ideas for articles and reviews.
I was charged with administrative duties, answering phones, monitoring projects, sitting in on meetings, writing briefs and tender documents, and SEO work for clients (such as social networking, blogging).
This role included keeping the website up to date, formatting and publishing contributed articles, writing for publication, managing the team of contributors, and enforcing deadlines. I also assisted with Counteract Magazine Presents gigs, making line-up decisions, promoting the events, aiding with the running of the events themselves, and working on the door throughout the events.
Primarily bar work, this role consisted of working front of house, serving customers, working cashiers, stocking bars, door work, and cleaning.
This position consisted of ticket sales/collects, and guest list names at events. I assisted people upon entry to the venue, and acted as the first port of call for the public upon arrival. Whilst there, I was equipped to use various computer programmes and scanners.
My role included finding, researching and creating stories for The Hidden City. Research, interviews, audio editing, slideshow editing, and video editing were all inbuilt into this position. From October 2012, I was in charge of overseeing all audio-slideshows/videos in the production stage prior to publication.
