About me

Jessica Meyrick is a freelance illustrator & artist from Bristol, currently based in Brighton after five years living in Sydney, Australia. Exploring themes including femininity, issues surrounding mental health & wellbeing; Jessica’s work is known for its combination of fluid line work and bold graphic shapes. Whether creating gouache and watercolour paintings or entirely digital pieces, Jessica’s strong aesthetic often features colourful fruits, plants and exploration of the female form. Jessica is represented by The Jacky Winter Group, Melbourne/New York.

  Safe Steps Victoria, Australia : Walk Against Family Violence Campaign 2022Promotional material for Australian based organisation Safe Steps, & their 'Walk Against Family Violence' March in November, 2022.   Ouija Board AnimationPersonal illustration & animation, inspired by Ouija boards and the taboo surrounding them. I wanted to create something playful & fun, and divert away from the fear and stigma associated with objects like Ouija boards. The needle moves across the board, answering questions and spelling out the responses letter by letter; as the hands are pulled along by it. Created using Procreate, edited on Photoshop and animated using Adobe After Effects.
