6th hire for mobile first start-up REVL. Responsible for developing a partner acquisition strategy and delivering partner sign ups. Over the course of 18 months we generated over 600 brand partners, 300 of these directly my sign ups with only a vapourware product for a majority of the sales period. Responsible for technical development of a partner management system which enables users to directly upload events to the REVL app. Building relationships with a range of partners from established ALVA venues to independent supper clubs, identifying promotional opportunities and galvanising partners to generate downloads of the app. Developed and managed a database using Salesforce and Prosperworks. Developing pitches and presenting to a range of clients including PR agencies. Developing a retention and partner communications strategy. Delivering this independent of the REVL marketing team utilising tools such as MailChimp and Photoshop. Management of all events hosted by REVL, from large scale parties through to intimate breakfast events. Working with all departments from product management and technical development to marketing to ensure Partner data is presented correctly in the app and that they receive maximum ROI.
A key part of a small team (4 people) responsible for the creation and delivery of Supernova, a large scale luxury pop up venue in Embankment Gardens suitable for 400-2000 guests. Providing operational support for the company Director, assisting with event site project management and onsite build. Account manager to a range of high level clients whose events range from £50,000-£100,000 in budget. Onsite event management for 25 events over 5 weeks, including production responsibility. These events included Global’s Make Some Noise Night, CRUK Emeralds and Ivy Ball, Trinity Hospice Christmas Party, British Arrows Awards and Christmas parties for Freshfields LLP, Delloite and The London Stock Exchange. Responsible for generating new business, managing a database of over 1000 prospect clients, responding to all incoming enquiries, preparing quotes and coordinating event bookings.
Responsible for the events business for the ICA, reaching an income target of £500,000 per year reporting to the Managing Director. Managed the sale and delivery of all events (over 320 per year) across multiple event spaces including a cinema and theatre from initial enquiry through to post event follow up. Working closely with clients to produce creative, dynamic and successful events which are in line with the ICA’s brand and ethos. Writing and implementing a sales and marketing strategy to boost sales of the venue and to secure bookings at a temporary offsite venue. Stewardship of high net worth patrons and young patrons, engaging them in the organization through the use of in-house event space. Working with technical production managers to ensure events are delivered to the highest standard and in line with current Health and Safety standards. Confident at producing and reviewing RAMS. Responsible for the logistical delivery of all major gallery events such as exhibition openings, fundraising dinners and patron led events. Management responsibility over a team of 4 part time event supervisors and a full time events apprentice. Responsible for preferred supplier procurement and management of all external event contractors. Managed relationship with in-house catering company, ensuring effective communication between teams and perfect delivery of events.
Logistical management of private events at the Gallery, working with the Operations Team to ensure events are staffed appropriately and event builds run seamlessly. Working the Gallery’s event booking system, booking events in line with the relevant priorities of other departments. Working with the Events Manager and Special Projects Manager to deliver the Whitechapel Gallery’s annual fundraiser, Art Plus working with major sponsor Swarovski. Responsible for an income target of £200,000 per year. Worked closely with the Event Manager to produce a flagship event for the Three Beards, Digital Sizzle – Art Hackathon used to engage workers of Tech City with the Gallery.
