Creative Strategist at Venturespring, a London based venture development studio, that helps to incubate and accelerate new digital propositions on behalf of large brands and corporations. In this role I have a number of responsibilities, which range from the inception of a project to its launch. I have worked for a number of international clients, which have included IBM, Vodafone, and new mobile phone company Wileyfox.
This role has included interviewing, selecting, and coordinating exhibiting artists for the main festival and managing smaller scale fundraising events. The role also involved budget management, chairing meetings and minute taking during management meetings.
I worked as an Event’s Coordinator for the Designersblock inaugural Service Design Event held in The Old Sessions House, Clerkenwell. Whilst working with the wider events team I successfully secured a sponsor for the event and managed the production of print and electronic publicity collateral.
I volunteered as a Camp Counsellor, assisting participants in the creation of short films over a 6 day period. This included post production tasks such as editing footage to create short films and animations alongside the Los Angeles based Pretty Bird production team.
Throughout the final year of my degree I managed the publicity and sponsorship teams for the BA Design Degree Show and successfully secured a sponsor for the event. My tasks included coordinating press photography for the event catalogue and website.
My experience included attending commercial shoots for international companies such as Mirinda and The London Tea Company. I worked closely with clients such as Mad Cow Productions overseeing ‘liquid effects’ and props. Further to this I worked on the installation, design and fabrication of various artworks and bespoke pieces. Whist at Complete Fabrication I also assisted in copyrighting and web-design.
During the first year of my course I undertook a five week placement at Arnold Wills &Co. as a Junior Designer. My tasks included the design of product packaging, as well as assisting Jamie Kilpin, Head Designer, with web development, content management, and printed marketing collateral. I also created textile patterns for international brands including Burtons, River Island and Marks and Spencer’s in response to their detailed briefs and specifications.
