About me
I'm currently working as a Junior Designer/Artworker for Childrens book start up Wonderbly. I'm loving start-up life but am looking to push myself further and would be interested in exploring Agencies.
Projects
  • A clockwork Orange
A clockwork OrangeThis project was in response to the Penguin book cover competition. The brief was to create a book cover for the book 'A clockwork orange'.
  • A Collection of emotional fossils
A Collection of emotional fossilsI based my Final Major Project on ‘The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows’. This is a compendium of invented words written by John Koenig. Each original definition aims to fill a whole in the English language to give a name to emotions we all might experience but don’t have a word for yet. I read a quote by Koenig in which he referred to the words as ‘Emotional Fossils’, I chose to use this as the basis of my project as I think it reflects the beauty and delicacy of the words and their descriptions.

  • Wonderbly
WonderblyWonderbly is a children's publishing tech startup, making millions of bedtimes more magical with their personalised storybooks. I help develop seasonal campaign ideas (like the one below for World Book Day) and create product copy across the purchasing journey to engage new and returning customers. I also produce copy designed to encourage interaction across social media platforms (love those Instamoms!) and editorial content for Wonderbly's parenting blog.
  • Music and foley for Wonderbly blog

We tried to make music and foley that was witty but saccharin enough to appeal to children of all ages; and their parents. We had a big team producing videos, including Stephanie Johnston (direction/animation), Anna Brooks (direction), Joe Melhuish (animation), Olly Wright (production), Andy Whitlock (creative

At Wonderbly I’ve been working on a variety of publications and marketing materials, as well as social media and other digital graphics, all of which service to communicate Wonderbly’s vision and mission to it’s audiences and the wider public. Worked alongside copywriters to produce high-quality pieces of work. Helped to roll-out assets for the rebrand. Artworked assets for international book launches. Supported the rest of the creative team in image sourcing, icon creation, and general design tasks.
