- Manage the council’s electronic information channels and recommend areas of development to ensure a dynamic, updated and interactive online presence. - To review, monitor and advise on the information architecture of the council’s internet and intranet in line with corporate and national guidelines. - Create compelling, high-quality copy for digital channels with an emphasis on accessibility. - Maintain existing websites and develop new sites, using current web technologies such as HTML and CSS in addition to a variety of content management systems (CMS) - Assist in the development of standards guides, policy and protocols to maintain the integrity of the council’s digital channels and to offer advice on communication including Plain English, house style, writing for the web and web accessibility good practice - Maintain good working relationships with external web providers / consultants and the council’s IT service - Be a key point of contact for the council’s web team – offering advice, guidance and solutions to meet business needs and meet corporate objectives - Keep abreast of new digital trends and technologies and assess their relevance and potential impact on the council’s digital channels - Monitor and report on the effectiveness of corporate websites and services and use this intelligence to develop strategies to maximise user engagement via digital channels - Work closely with Communications colleagues to advise on the potential for digital marketing opportunities to support their work - Monitor and contribute to the council’s social media activity including scheduling and posting updates and responding to enquiries.
A key support position responsible for the delivery of marketing activities and online communications; including lead-generation and retention campaigns. - Help to produce creative ideas and concepts for online/offline marketing campaigns and client pitches - Generating email campaigns to promote seminars and training activities - Place digital media advertising and promotional initiatives (i.e. banner, PPC and 'link building') - Measure online/digital campaigns via Google Analytics and other reporting/traffic tracking - Manage and update content on the group's website, using WordPress CMS - Assist senior management with on-going development of the company’s e-commerce channel - Provide occasional input and support to SEO activities - Other adhoc departmental marketing, PR and e-commerce involvement, as required.
The main purpose of the role is to update client websites with changes they require to their content, inclusive of data, copy, images and rich media assets. The role also involves supporting and training users. - Content updates / creation via Tridion & Sharepoint Content Management System. - Testing and quality assurance for all content elements - Communicating with client as part of a service desk; JIRA platform - Updating systems with relevant information related to the client and the work performed - Create training information and assisting users in the use of websites and the CMS when necessary - Creation of user guides with Adobe Creative Suite C5
- Create Communications Plan for client - Manage client UK and US websites using Magento CMS - Create briefing templates for client - Brief creative and editorial departments - Manage eCRM for client; QA and test links and send to client UK and US database - UAT for new site development
- Develop email blasts in line with the promotional calendar, including creative assets and copywriting. - QA and test email content and links, send via Emailvision - Assist with the management of affiliate’s programmes including the creation of affiliate assets, and product information in line with the weekly promotional calendar. - Manage the online promotional codes and third party voucher codes using discount manager - Manage seasonal uploads and changes to site as well as manage site creative inclusive of landing pages creation of both imagery and html - Assist with other areas of product merchandising and management using merchandising and content management tools - Use basecamp to communicate issues/project progression. - Publishing web content to staging and live platforms via Admin Console
- To play a key part in the co-ordination of information and images for all sites (FCUK, FCUS, FCCA, Toast, Great Plains and YMC), managing the communication with both front end and back end developers and all user requirements - Managing seasonal e-commerce uploads for both content and images for all e-commerce sites - Creating all email marketing blasts across each brand including the manipulation of imagery into html format; uploading to a server; managing data lists and segments; post-send analysis. Using Cheetah mail and Emailvision mailing systems. - Managing seasonal changes to brand sites to include all images and new information. - Implementing daily and ad hoc site requirements to include upload of information, content changes, image changes etc - Working alongside the backend developers to enhance site developments and requirements. - Supporting the rest of the ecommerce team to deliver any online requirements. - Creating new landing pages for site as and when needed and to deadline.
