A highly motivated and ambitious marketing professional, with experience in a variety of sectors. A confident manager and excellent communicator, I am comfortable leading and developing a team. Managing a team of 3 internally, as well as a range of internationally-based V-teams, and working closely with both the researchers and business staff in the Microsoft Research Cambridge lab, supporting their projects, programmes and initiatives. Working closely with the Senior Leadership team based in Cambridge, as well as key teams within the wider Technology & Research division, and Microsoft subsidiaries, to ensure consistent promotion of the brand’s image through strategic implementation of the Marketing Communications plan. Responsible for managing the planning and tactical execution of several large-scale key events, as well as the organisation of corporate participation in external industry events. Management of inter-company communications, including the production and maintenance of internal MarComms assets, and maintenance of the externally facing website, as well as presence on other company sites. Leading the social media strategy and activity. Planning, measurement and analysis of data to benchmark the success of communications.
Held sole responsibility for developing revenue streams for the College through the hire of campus facilities, and partnering with local organisations to run a range of events designed to improve brand awareness and reputation. Paralell to this I led a team of four in developing and executing a local communications strategy for target audiences spanning a wide range of demographics, and including both teaching and support staff, based over five different campuses across south Wales.

Responsible for a team of two marketing assistants, working on a portfolio of 4 B2B exhibitions, under 3 of the company’s leading publication titles. Tasked with ensuring that these were run more efficiently, challenges included developing strategies to streamline processes, analysing all promotional channels, increasing ROI and expanding where possible, whilst adhering strictly to budgets and deadlines, and fitting the exhibitions seamlessly into brand portfolios.
