About me
Hi! I'm a womenswear designer of 3 years, from a supplier background. I've worked with a range of high street brands across tops, bottoms, dresses/jumpsuits/playsuits, and some tailoring and occasion wear.

    London, United KingdomFull Time
My role as a designer at Jon Adam consists of researching and sketching into customer boards/trends, doing CADS, meeting with buyers on a weekly basis, sourcing new fabrics and trims, following through in-house samples to ensure they meet deadlines and meetings, and working closely with our in-house pattern cutters to achieve the desired samples. Within womenswear I work on both woven and jersey, across tops, dresses, and bottoms. The accounts I currently work on are Dorothy Perkins, Sainsburys, Evans, Biba and TKMaxx, but have also helped out on the Lipsy and Miss Selfridge accounts. I am currently the sole designer on the TKMaxx and Biba accounts, which I manage with my sales manager, and I work with both the dresses and tops departments on both woven and jersey. This opportunity has allowed me to further my knowledge and grow my confidence in building strong relationships with buyers. This role has allowed me to extend further my design knowledge on high street fashion, while still keeping up with high fashion and catwalk trends, using design details and touching on silhouettes to apply to a more commercial style for the high street. Skills I have acquired through this include knowledge of construction techniques, a more indepth knowledge of pattern cutting and design and conceptual skills.
