As editor of 20-year-old music site Gigwise, I have worked to diversify our website in terms of gender, race and genre. As the sole full-time member of editorial, I have had to turn my hand to all aspects of running a magazine, and have increased traffic in the process. In July 2021, Gigwise released its first ever print magazine to celebrate 20 years of existence. As editor of this process, I lead on editorial, advertising and also set the ball rolling on production, finding stockists in Record Store Day contributing stores all over the UK. I personally acquired 90% of our advertisers, making the magazine profitable with its first issue.
