Jesús directed the opening of the first Latin American Art Gallery in Asia during the Beijing Olympic Games and aided Teresa Margolles for the Viena Biennale, which took place in the Mexican Pavilion. He established his own business as an independent art dealer at the end 2008. Started as a consultant in modern Mexican art, in addition developed over a small period of time a great affection for contemporary art. During his first year out of Bachelor of Architecture he assisted Jan Hendrix during the staging of his solo show in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Monterrey and assisted Teresa Margolles in Beijing in her conceptual production piece . This endeavor has developed into a well-established network for secondary market dealings, as well offering expert advice related to high profile collections in Mexico and the United States.
He has participated in ARCO in Madrid and CIGE in Beijing being an expositor and a project manager with various mexican galleries.
At 2015 he added a partner on his way, french architect and antique dealer Karim Zerguine, to create Galería K2 that has been a pillar of contemporary art in this new generation of Monterrey.
He has been part of Material Art Fair held in Mexico City for counseling. At the end of 2017, University of Monterrey’s dean in charge of the Centro Roberto Garza Sada invited him to be the exhibition commissioner for their galleries until today.
He is now part of the art council in a prestigious cultural festival called Festival Internacional de Santa Lucía and just ventured in an artist collective called Colectivo Augurio.
