About me

Hi, there! I am a London and China based illustrator and visual artist with a background in ceramics from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. Using a comprehensive range of visual medium, with particular attention to narrative and atmosphere making, I am also a moving image maker. My works are mainly inspired by daily illusions and the gaps in society and institutions. My drawings have received awards from Adobe, Creative Quarterly, iJUNGLE and Hiii Illustration.

  llustrations for Penguin Calendar 2020In the collaboration with Penguin Random House (Beijing) for Penguin Calendar 2020, I was responsible for the illustrations of September. The works extend the iconic design of Penguin, reinterpret the classic literature, and interpret the essential solar terms and festivals. The creation incorporates personal ideas, i.e., the analysis of the relationships between characters, the combination of light and shadow, and the use of Rene Magritte's painting feature.
