Working with an online-based furniture company has been a wholly different
experience as a designer. Understanding the client’s work style and capacity is
paramount. Budgetary and manufacturing restrictions place naturally curbs the
on design process, and the challenge is to work with these while preserving the
fundamentals of ‘good design’: product utility, thoroughness of detail, and simplicity
