About me
I am a photographer from Mersea Island in Essex. My personal work encompasses a cinematic, narrative-driven approach with a particular focus on people and places. I enjoy exploring concepts of place and memory to approach ideas which combine elements of the imagined and the real.
I have had my work exhibited and published internationally, including at Millepiani in Rome, The Atkinson Gallery in Somerset and the Old Truman Brewery and Printspace in London. Places where my work has been published include Dodho magazine and Wotisart Magazine. My solo exhibition ‘Mersea Island’ took place in 2018. I have had success in competitions such as the Moscow International Foto Awards, the AOP Awards and the Batsford Prize.
My current practice investigates how feelings of uncertainty about the modern world can be represented by a series of photographs depicting a journey through a semi imagined dystopian place.
