Led the launch of a new business division for nzgirl 1999 Ltd, Bloggers Club - project managing the website build and creation of New Zealand's leading digital influencer community. Bloggers Club makes it easier for brands to manage their influencer outreach needs by connecting them with over 400 top digital influencers and bloggers to inspire authentic and engaging content and conversations within their communities. Ongoing recruitment and relationship management of NZ’s top fashion, beauty, lifestyle, design bloggers including Julia & Libby, vloggers Shaaanxo & Kris Fox, Julia from Studio Home, Carly Flynn and Leonie Barlow from The Style Insider. Created internal blogger relationship management processes and developed initiatives to establish blogging as a professional industry in New Zealand with the introduction of the #officialblogger hashtag.
Scope of role increased from managing and producing owned ‘nzgirl’ content creation to also managing influencer and user generated earned content. Responsible for the day-to-day running of nzgirl.co.nz, curating the best content from NZ’s top bloggers and amplifying the most engaging content to the nzgirl community via key digital channels; home page, email newsletter, social media accounts to drive nzgirl’s traffic, engagement and growth. Developed and launched #nzgirlbloggersclub as a means to recruit, inspire and upskill NZ bloggers by hosting monthly events, awards and workshops to build a local blogging community and position nzgirl as a launchpad. Today 150+ bloggers contribute regularly to the community. By the start of 2014, my role evolved into also providing digital strategy and creative insights for proposals to help win business for the company.
Responsible for editorial and advertorial content creation and community management and development. Editorially, published nzgirl’s consistently best performing article, a weekly Hot Five column. Editorial highlights include interviewing model Miranda Kerr and singers Jessica Mauboy & Ginny Blackmore. Responsible for writing sponsored/advertorial content that successfully met client objectives while remaining authentic and adding value to our community gave me a wealth of experience into how to write good, share-worthy online content. Implementing strategies to grow our social channels and membership databases saw our monthly unique visitors increase by 25% from 2011 to 2012. Key projects I managed included the relaunch the new look nzgirl website as a social magazine in 2012 and the launch of our first iPhone app in October 2012.
