Working on several different television programs created by Ricochet, Alaska and Lambent productions. My role is mainly AVID based and includes edit suite support, ingesting, conforming, preparing split tracks for VO sessions and AAFs for audio, exporting play-outs, working with MediaShuttle, FTP, and other servers.
Currently, I am working on the stings on the show 'Sun, Sea and Selling Houses'. On this show I have to extract the graphic plates from the offline sequence in Avid, re-link the proxy media to the camera media, add handles to the shot and export. In After Effects I edit the text, ensuring the sizing and spacing remains accurate, track the shot and apply a grade to it as well as placing the text composition on it ensuring the z-axis is correct adding a bounce in and lens flare to the final pre-comp.

Working on a program called Strictly Come Dancing. My role - Avid based - involved ingesting footage from XQD, Canon and GoPro cards, transcoding material, and converting phone footage. I handled AAFs regularly and worked closely with Cinegy, MediaShuttle and MediaSilo, creating and sending easy to watch links of VTs to the executive producers. I also dealt with tape conforms and creating AS-11s with Cinedeck. During my time on Strictly, I had also done some North America Versioning for Eastenders and worked a full week on Children In Need.

Studying a degree in Film-making; majoring in writing and editing. As well as developing my skills in these two disciplines I have also studied the complete film making process which allows me to empathise and help with other departments when on production. I chose to edit short films that required ambitious VFX like making a character go invisible, creating fake rain, meteors and so on. I volunteered on several productions to data wrangle, transcode and organise the footage, and did so on all project that I edited.
I also had the opportunity to write short films and music videos, and assisted other writers by taking part in script reads and offering script edits. My dissertation focused on the effect Netflix is having on Cinema, conducting a questionnaire with audiences around the UK to study their viewing habits and understand the pros and cons of the popularity of streaming services.
