I pursued this Masters because I wanted to gain some practical skills and knowledge in order to work in the arts and cultural sector. During this course I completed modules in Arts Marketing, Finance, Law in the Arts, Arts Management, Strategic Planning, Cultural Policy as well as completing a thesis ('In Defense of Millennials: An Investigation into Engagement and Educative Programmes and Events for Generation Y in Art Museums and Galleries in Dublin'). The course really opened my eyes to the more practical, logistical and ethical elements that comes with working in an arts organisation. Not only did it give me the chance to meet some wonderful people in my class but it also connected me with great lecturers and guest speakers who granted us useful insights into life within the arts, culture and heritage sector.
