During my professional career, I have been lucky enough to work with amazing clients, both big and small and from different areas of expertise; from celebrity chefs Albert and Ferran Adria to Norman Vilalta, one of the most renowned bespoke shoemakers in the world: and from cultural institutions as MACBA to consultancy companies as AXIS Corporate or the sales team of SkyTeam/AirFrance.
One of the clients that most inspired me apart from the Adriá brothers was ESADE Business School that later on and with my own agency led me to focus on Educational Branding, and paved the way for branding projects with IESE Business School, University of Navarra and lately with one of Spain’s biggest education groups.
Besides my agency, I have worked as Brand and Communication Director of IDEP Barcelona, a small but rather special graphic design, fashion and photography school in Barcelona. It was the perfect opportunity to create an in-house educational brand project. This project lasted for two campaigns and introduced profound changes to the institution’s communication and brand strategy on both a corporate and commercial level. For the first time the school started to act and speak as a brand driven by bonds of emotion, aspiration, academic excellence and commitment between itself, parents, students, staff and professors. The outcome of the project was considerable increase in "business". But it also changed how parents looked at these disciplines and I want to believe that in the end, beyond than new business generated, I provided the tools for a positive academic and social impact.
I have taught in a Master Degree at IDEP Barcelona and also at IED, Instituto Europeo Di Design, Art Direction and Corporate Identity and was Thesis Director, and for the last couple of years, Branding. It has been an amazing ride in education, helping students reach academic and personal objectives, leading and guiding but above all making friends and, I hope, inspiring some of them!
