Founder & Creative Director
Jochem Leegstra (1972) is the founder and creative director of …,staat.
He studied Visual Communications and post-academic Art Direction at the School of the Arts in Utrecht, HKU, the Netherlands.
Before kickstarting …,staat in 2000, he was Art Director at Amsterdam's TV Channel AT5,
and Creative Director at the Amsterdam night club MA22O.
Above all, Jochem is a fast thinker and a fast talker.
...,staat is an independent, award-winning creative agency, based in Amsterdam
and passionately working on design, branding, architecture, PR, advertising
and everything in between.
…,staat works for an A-list of international clients like Nike, Bugaboo, MTV and has recently added LVMH and SONOS to their clientele.
Their awards and nominations includes Cannes Lions (Gold 2013),
Art Directors Club (Gold 2013), D&AD and several Design Awards.
Jochem is a board member of the ADCN (the art directors & designers association of the Netherlands) an ambassador of Europe's leading design conference 'What Design Can Do 2014',
a board member of 'Amazing EMMA' (Annual children's hospital fun(d)raising event)
and member of the Design Jury for Dubai Lynx 2014, the International Festival of Creativity.
