I'm an award-winning professional creative photographer/director with bases in London & Edinburgh. Specialising in high fashion and commercial imagery, I have over a decade's worth of experience in the field whilst being entirely self-taught. Inspired by the landscape and history of my Highland home, my work is a cinematic blend of drama, strength and elegance with a strong commercial edge. A hugely passionate and dedicated individual with years of experience as a business owner, I am naturally self-motivated with an uncompromising eye for detail and quality. To every aspect of my work I maintain a proactive approach with creative flair, by seizing opportunities and adapting quickly to any situation. Collaboration and teamwork is a huge part of my working life. Tactful and responsible, my strengths in leadership and communication shine through.
Above all I am a visual storyteller. My aim is to create imagery that evolves beyond realism and into the realm of something much more cinematic and narrative. Having lived and worked in some of Scotland’s most sought-after areas for TV & film has provided endless stimulation for my creativity. It is what enthralls me most and gives me the best ideas. The North has a unique culture and arts scene as well as landscape - that is what kept me here in the first place. When I moved to Edinburgh in 2015, things really began to take off for me professionally. Since then, I have been shortlisted for an art award with the UK's leading art publisher Washington Green, had my work covered in some of the best fashion & lifestyle magazines, and personally mentored by one of the world's most influential photographer Nick Knight. In 2022 I travelled to New York to receive the IPA International Advertising Photographer of the Year award, and nominated for Photographer of the Year at the Lucies.
