I'm a photographer and occasional videographer, currently getting by as a studio assistant. I'm aiming to build a career that will lead into fashion/editorial/fine art photography. My work centres around representation, identity and the realities constructed by photography.
I graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Film, Photography & Media from the University of Leeds, winning a prize for the highest graded final project 'Drop Dead'. I was also the recipient of the Berkofsky Arts Award, a bursary grant to produce the series 'Image Control', featured below.
I just want to make cool stuff with cool people!
Projects
- Image ControlTraditionally, a photographer imposes their vision upon the subject as the world is shown through their eyes. This series flips that notion on its head, exploring the intersections between photography, performance, gender and the right to control how a person is seen. Working collaboratively with trans and non-binary people, I gave direct creative control to those who have been historically misrepresented. This series shows that by sharing control of the image, the image’s control can be ethical
