Approved Composer with the National Youth Film Academy of Great Britain
I am a self-employed teacher, composer, and performer, and I am an aspiring screen and media composer. I am a pianist, drummer, and percussionist. I have played with The City of Southampton Symphony Orchestra, The Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra, and had the wonderful opportunity to play as Lead Percussionist with Bill Laurence at his headline performance on the debut of The Blueprint Jazz Festival. I have experience in pit bands, my favorite so far as the drummer in a production of American Idiot, and was the drummer for the indie band SALT, performing at The Maple Lounge and Share The Sound Festival 2018. I currently play percussion and cornet with the Lewes Glynde and Beddingham Brass Band, competing nationally in banding competitions, marching for significant events, and caroling for charity.
I am a transgender man and my pronouns are 'he/him'.
I hope to one day be the role model that I never had for young, aspiring, queer musicians and composers.
Projects
- Showcase Project intern 2016-2018The role involves the co-ordination and administration of the Showcase scheme and performances, booking and promoting performers, liaising with external enquirers and organising internal projects.. I am organised and efficient, adaptable and independent, an enthusiastic advocate of music, and have a good grasp of standard IT packages.
