About me
I’m Joel, a 21 year old who recently graduated from Ravensbourne University with a degree in Motion Design. Through my years at uni, I learned the importance of the process to execute high level design consistently. I also gained various skills such as 3D design, animation, motion typography, 2D design as well as film and production. my strong suit is all thing 3D with a high level of understanding in Cinema4D and Octane. I have a high passion for cinema and film, which I believe drives my creative workflow when coming up with ideas for various projects. Although for the most part, I work in and around motion design, I have a high interest in all things creative. With experience in various fields and a background previously in fine art and photography, I’ve grown to learn to work with a team and I’m open to learning new skills from others. Projects
  • FALLEN TITAN
FALLEN TITANPersonal render on Cinema4D using Octane Render.
  • ALTERNATION
ALTERNATIONThis was a personal project back when I first started to learn how to use Cinema4d and Octane render (2018) This satisfying loop was inspired by the many Motion Design posts on Instagram.
  • Broken Fall
Broken FallPersonal render on Cinema4d. In this project, I was testing out how to use VDBs and realistic forest assets
  • Motion Typography - PRESS-PLAY 2020 Festival Trailer
Motion Typography - PRESS-PLAY 2020 Festival TrailerThis was a university assigned project on motion typography. I decided to make a congratulatory festival/event similar to that of the Sundance Film Festival and Venice Film Festival, that I created for my Motion Typography project that recognises the excellence in cinematic achievements
  • THE TRUE STALLION
THE TRUE STALLIONThe idea behind this project was to pay homage to the "true stallion", the 1966 Mustang Fastback. With the rise of electric-powered cars, we can't forget what paved the way for the cars of today.
  • Final Major Project - Dawn Awaits
Final Major Project - Dawn AwaitsThe purpose of this project is to predict and depict the near future and what it may hold if we continue to think and act the way we act today with technology and socially. Creating what would be a title sequence for a Netflix series.
