About me
John Simoudis founded Simoudis Image Design, a branding, design and marketing communications studio, in 1997 after stepping away from executive management positions in the New York luxury hospitality sector. The firm develops brand identity, brand strategy and digital marketing programs for luxury and prestige brands. In 2014, John founded Influence, a New York-based marketing consultancy that creates custom strategies in digital and social marketing. Simoudis Image Design offers design solutions that are straightforward and direct yet artfully nuanced, relevant, and sensitive. John designs with intelligent simplicity, creating, defining and extracting the unique DNA of each brand. He translates strategic objectives into refined ideas that are simple, beautiful and on target, inviting innovation and creativity for future growth. John delivers a coordinated visual approach to his clients' objectives with authentic communication vehicles that ensure the development of the brand. Combining luxury market expertise with a deep understanding of marketing, John enables his clients’ brands tell a richer, more authentic story that engages their audience. Under John's leadership, the firm has created campaigns and has managed projects for some of the best known global brands, including BMW, Bulgari Parfums, Cartier, Gerald Genta Timepieces, Marina B., and has helped launch many small luxury startups. Recent projects include the opening of The Cecil Harlem - an Afro / Asian / American Brasserie - and Minton's - the reopening of the historic Jazz club in Harlem. These projects, funded by Richard Parsons, the noted businessman, and ex-Chairman of Citigroup, garnered considerable media acclaim and are deemed important landmarks in the cultural rejuvenation of Harlem and its culinary and musical heritage.
