Three-time Emmy Award winning journalist turned non-profit leader supporting freelance journalists worldwide. Ex Foreign Editor of the BBC, Managing Editor of the US broadcaster ABC & MD of RTE News in Dublin. In addition to leading the Rory Peck Trust I serve on the board of the , Committee to Protect Journalists where I chair its Journalists Assistance Committee. Projects
- Truth MattersIn the wake of the pandemic, I commissioned the campaign, in part conceived as a media literacy initiative, to warn of the dangers of conspiracy theories & to reinforce RTE's place as Ireland's most trusted news organisation. The campaign won the 2021 Gold medal as the best marketing campaign among Europe's public broadcasters.
