About me

Jordan Chandler is a Film, Live Art and Theatre director based in London. After graduating from her BA in Performance Design and Practise at Central Saint Martins, she wrote and directed award winning live performance works that showcased in London, Edinburgh, New York and Adelaide Australia. Jordan is currently studying her MA in Directing Fiction at the National Film and Television school, alongside her ongoing collaborations with jotdown production, of which she is the co-founder. Her first film made at the National Film and Television school was nominated for best UK Short at the Raindance Film Festival.

• DA DA DARKWhy are we resorting back to Dada? Is it an answer to the new world war? Da Da Dark is a stream of consciousness interrogating a cycle of toxicity inflicted by the patriarchy and the way it affects womanhood in life and art. Characters are forced to compete with each other, being policed and controlled by the superior invincible power they are not aware of themselves. It is both a love letter & a sick note, loaded with fury for our non-sensical time that resists interpretation.
• LEFT BRAIN - Dirty Art ClubQueen Persephone is trapped in her stuffy little office down in the underworld. Hades appointed her a new job to keep her busy till spring. She helps Women lose their innocence by feeding them an Apple of Eden. Her next newest client is proving to be a little more difficult then expected.
• BRUTALBrutal is a Psychological, Surrealist Thriller about a mother named MAYA, who absent-mindedly leaves her 8 week year old baby outside a grocery store. When she rushes back to retrieve the child, she discovers it’s been kidnapped. The film then plummets into the mother’s psyche as she’s forced to navigate a 15 story high tow- er block in order to save her child. What we begin to discover in this surreal and disturbing landscape is that the baby was a result of a rape, and Maya cannot save herself
