As a Digital Champion my role is to teach those who want to learn more about technology. ● My duties include helping any queries or problems which could include a whole range of things from, showing a beginner how to send emails, to teaching someone how to use software. ● Those who attend the session are usually elderly and it is humbling to be able to help someone get in touch with friends or relatives through social media. ● Spending time with my community enhances my passion to help those who are the most disconnected in our society.

The campaigns we created furthered my understanding of policy being responsible for conducting research and summarising policy on the website. ● Tasks included writing articles outlining potential hospital closures or information from doctors’ own experiences, giving communities the necessary information for their local area. ● Worked on campaigns ‘Fund Our NHS’ and ‘Stop Privatisation’. I fulfilled roles such as creatively updating the visual content of the site as well as controlling the back of the website layout, and had full control of the social media site, achieving a surge in high levels of engagement on tweets. ● Throughout the internship I was given more freedom in creatively developing ideas for the organisation, which I began to relish. It was also great as I enhanced my knowledge in politics and the public sector, being at the forefront of the NHS campaigns
