CodePlus is a charity project within the Student Hubs organisation, putting student volunteers into local economically-challenged primary schools to teach after-school coding sessions. I spent one year as a volunteer in classrooms, teaching sessions every week within a team of volunteers. I then took on a committee role, managing the resources for the project, designing and planning lessons and supporting volunteers into delivering them. Finally in my third year of university, I headed-up the project, organising the logistical elements, coordinating with schools libraries and other partners as well as leading, training and supporting a team of three sub-committee members and 40 volunteers.
