About me
Hi, I am Joseph a versatile strategic designer. I like to define myself as an orchestrator, bringing together people and instruments, facts and emotion, method and intuition for creating harmony in a complex world. I became a designer in order to bring my curiosity and creativity into solving the hardest problems. My passion for technology, wellbeing and ecological thinking, have nurtured a mindset for meaningful innovation, always striving for a holistic and humane approach. My cumulative experience (5+ years) and competences situate me well within the intersection of strategy, design and digital. From there I venture on the journey for meaningful innovation.

    As a Research Lead at Bit, I am responsible for the vision creation aiming to inspire and align stakeholders, the innovation strategy to reach that vision and generating business cases through technology oriented concepts, which then become tech-infused prototypes by our talented tech Bit'ters. Working within the research team, I perform market and user research to collect insights, identifying relevant trends, host and facilitate workshops with engineers, designers and product owners to determine technologies and directions, and visualise the value of our strategy through concepts . Finally, I craft keynotes and present our final strategy to product owner and key stakeholders. I arrived at Bit at the very exciting moment of the Research team being launched, which meant co-designing from the ground up the company's innovative research process, best practices and team growth. About Bit We are a research and prototyping studio run by 50 young talents, on a mission to fast forward the impact of emerging tech on business and planet. We prototype hardware, software and AI, growing tech leadership of students and clients along the way.

    I have been responsible for the design and management of the Mamma Dough brand, its manifestations (in print & web) and growth across all customer touchpoints and products. I take ownership of several key products since the early days of Mamma Dough, such as marketing collateral for all restaurants (menus, notices, food packaging), the design and development of the website along with a booking system integration and the development of our bespoke Content Management System, which supports staff with the daily updates of the menus across restaurants. I have taken initiatives for the growth of the brand's digital marketing activities, such as setting up an analytics pipeline for all our products and establish new channels for increasing customer engagement and brand awareness (Google Business, TripAdvisor). In addition to marketing, I have been producing solutions for on-boarding new employees faster, as well as giving them new tools to make their work more efficient, such as print templates and communications channels.

    An integrated precision agriculture system, through which wine producers are given the ability to: 1. monitor in real-time the conditions of their fields 2. be notified on-time for extreme weather conditions and diseases possibly affecting their crops 3. democratisation of data collected through sensors in order to strengthen research (ie. Universities, Research Institutions etc.) 4. streamline communications with insurance companies 5. enrich product marketing campaigns The team’s goal is to develop a working prototype in partnership with SANTO WINES, which set the challenge forth, under the CRUISEINN 2018 programme.
