The aim of the project is to offer art as a learning experience, to provide a sense of collective creativity and to challenge the spaces in between sports, the arts, community and vulnerable youth. As one of two creative workshop leaders we work as a tight team to offer Street Child United’s England girls football team weekend workshops on ambitions, empowerment, resourcefulness, practical techniques and team building skills through methods like lino printing (with polystyrene burger boxes), spray painting and mural making. Within these workshops art making becomes a playful catalyst for conversation with 15-20 young adults from diverse ethnicities, backgrounds and needs.
