About me
I am an enthusiastic creative with over 7 years of professional experience in various creative Industries. I have experience as an Onsite Stylist & Creative Assistant with Wonderland Agency; working with Tik Tok, Pretty Little Thing and also on a corporate event. Aswell as this I have freelance experience of working on smaller scale pop up events; such as pop up shops at DragCon. I am currently working with Live Union to gain more experience in events on their creative team and be immersed in this invigorating industry.
Prior to working in events, I worked as a Casting Assistant for 4 years; working with the likes of MGM, BBC, Netflix and more, in very creative, high stakes roles. I got into casting through my start in life as an Actor where I was lucky enough to perform for a year on the West End in Les Miserables. I also performed at Edinburgh Fringe, The Other Palace, The Stockwell Playhouse and The Southwark Playhouse in various theatre productions and as part of the LGBTQ+ BFI Flare film festival, which as a queer woman I feel very proud to have been involved in.
In my free time; I am the voluntary leader of the Hackney & Islington group for the non profit organisation Dignity in Dying. I help fundraise, create the social media strategy, host events, book venues, manage an inbox and recently attended an event representing them at the House of Lords with Dame Prue Leith. I have also been a companion caller for Age Uk for 2 years. I call an elderly lady weekly to try and help ease her loneliness after her partner died of cancer. It has been a truly joyous and fulfilling journey for us both.
Projects
- Tik Tok Shop Takes ManchesterI worked with the lead creative to transform The Situ in Manchester into the enticing Tik Tok Shop, a vibrant networking event for beauty brands on Tik Tok. My role was to assist with sourcing props and flowers, theming and dressing the space. I was also overseeing event crew’s arrival and placement of set and aiding with the organisation of the de-rig.
- Pretty Little Thing HotelIn October 2021, Pretty Little Thing took over an amazing property in Oxford and for a few special nights, it was the official Pretty Little Thing hotel. I assisted Wonderland by helping to transform the space, with every blank wall becoming a canvas for the Pretty Little Thing branding. We also used PLT's new homeware range across the entire property along with PLT gifts styled on the bed for each guests' stay.
- Boston Consulting Groups Summer PartyI worked with the lead creative to transform the stunning grounds at York Lawns, Regents Park in to a vibrant festival environment for Boston Consultancy Groups Summer Party which included a main stage, range of arts & craft workshop tents, a wellness tent, dress up & glitter tents, street food stations and a bespoke ribbon photo booth. My role included overseeing my own section of the festival, I assisted with the theming and styling and managed my own team of event crew.
