Reception & secretarial work:
- Answering the telephone (4 lines)
- Replaying emails.
- Dealing with enquires for all areas of gallery activities and course bookings. Updating databases and general administration.
Running of darkrooms:
- Morning set up, help prepare photographic equipment, cleaning and preparation of darkroom for hire & bookings.
Marketing & Social Media:
- Creation of informative and advertising emails with MailChimp marketing software.
- Adding photos, events and information.
- Digital invitation's design.
- Updating official webpage, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vimeo and Tumblr.
Exhibition installations:
- Assist Facilities manager with installation of exhibitions, logging exhibitions and artworks as they arrive.
- Safe handling and cleaning of artworks, preparation and upkeep of exhibition space.
- Hanging of artworks; maintenance and monitoring of exhibitions; exhibition invigilation, helping out at openings.
Long Term Projects:
- The Gallery has an ongoing Archival Project of all of its Shows and Artists it has worked with since 1978.
- Scanning and cataloguing negatives
Gallery of Photography Artist’s Digital Studio (ADS)
- Scanning printed negatives copies.
- Developing photographies with Photoshop
- Restoring old images (contrast, exposure, color temperature or removing dust)
