Hello! My name is Julia, I'm an Illustrator and Printmaker from Mallorca, Spain based in Norwich, U.K.
Since graduating from NUA I have been building up my freelance portfolio with a range of exciting projects, from album covers, to stage design for concerts, print design on textiles for interior design and numerous other fun collaboration projects with local creatives.
I have also been developing my event management skills by co-directing Site Collective, an art collective focused on supporting young creatives, giving them a platform to share their work through pop up shops and online exhibitions and to connect with other likeminded folks through networking events such as 'Drink & Draws' and online meet ups.
In my own personal practice I have focused on linocut print as my main medium. I enjoy creating editions of botanical themed prints and experimenting with printing on textiles. It is very important to me to always use sustainable materials, such as linseed oil based inks, recycled paper or upcycling textile goods.
Projects

I created a selection of digitally printed tapestries and filled the stage with paper cut leaves to create a jungle feel. The print on the tapestries was a repeat pattern created with linocut, it consisted of various native plants and frogs from the Amazon Rainforest. The aim was to use the stage to raise awareness about the Amazon wildfires that occurred in the summer of 2019 and some of the

- Origami Shirt WorkshopAs part of Site Collective's 'Integrate' workshop series, I created a tutorial video offering viewers a fun and easy method of fashion design without needing illustration skills. This origami workshop was chosen as it is an accessible approach to fashion design that anyone can get involved in.
- IntegrateMy non-profit community company, Site Collective, hosted ‘Integrate’, a week long programme of creative events aimed at young people aged 18 - 25 in Norwich and Norfolk affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. It offered support and guidance on how to develop your creative practice and career as well as providing a platform for inspiration, connectivity and growth. ‘Integrate’ took many forms including workshops, lectures, live briefs, podcasts, networking sessions and much more. We also had a space
