About me
I am an ARB registered Architect, with over eight years post Part III experience. I have expertise in retail interior design, after working in-house with brands for the last 5 years. I have experience from concept through to completion of a number of projects, including educational, residential, retail, mixed-use and ecclesiastical. I also have experience working on international projects, along side architects, designers and franchaise partners in APAC and AMER. In addition, I have on-site experience in Canada and Japan. I joined JCA Architects for my part one year out. At the end of the year I opted to stay with practice and continue my studies for a Pg Dip in Architecture at Greenwich University on a part time-basis. In my studies I become increasingly interested in the connections between fashion and architecture, and deeper into environmental issues, two passions which I continue to integrate into my professional life. In 2009 I co-founded the architectural practice, Green Tea Architects. I worked on a number of projects, including educational, residential, mixed-use and ecclesiastical. In 2014 I completed my role as Project Architect for a new two form entry School in Tower Hamlets. In 2015 I redirected my career to satisfy my love for fashion and architecture combined. I became and in-house Store Designer at Sweaty Betty. In 2018 I started a new role at Cath Kidston as Retail Design Manager. I design, detail and project manage new stores and refurbishments, including concessions, both in the UK, APAC and the Americas. I also assist with the design and set up of marketing events and press shows. I completed my professional qualification as an architect at the University of Westminster in September 2011. I had previously studied for my BA (Hons) Architecture at University of Central England, completed in 2006 and my Pg Dip in Architecture at Greenwich University. I was the winner of the RIBA West Midlands Region, Oscar Neidermeyer Medal 2006 and I was shortlisted for Architect of the Year at the Women in Construction Awards 2013. I was also shortlisted for Design and Architecture at the Construction Youth Trust's Duke of Gloucester Award.

I maintained a high level of creative implementation and communication across the store estate worldwide based on conceiving and creating architectural CAD design packages. I developed & was instrumental in the international design guidelines creation and implementation. I ensured design briefs were interpreted correctly and held true to the brand. I coordinated and managed the rest of the retail design team. I managed, created and developed the 2D and 3D drawing models and brand guidelines for all new UK and international retail environments and PR events - exhibitions and press shows. I delivered technical architectural packages for all retail environments. My work included concept adaptation, procurement plans, scope of works and materials schedules which successfully complete projects from property approval to opening of store. I reviewed sites and liaised with external project managers, contractors, supply chain, local architects, and FFE contractors. I supported markets worldwide to maintain a sustained high level of agreed international design standards. I liaised and reviewed with local architects & design agencies.I oversaw and worked with the Retail Design team and to work cross functionally across the rest of the department to help maintain a high level of retail design and implementation across the estate. I maintained a consistent store design fit out internationally liaising with established regional supply chain thus distributing Cath Kidston perimeter and freestanding VM fixtures in line with the international design guidelines. I frequently visited store locations & assisting with the overseeing of and completion of planning applications, current building regulations and CDM standards on site.
