About me
French designer Julie Arrivé graduated from the Fine Art school: Les Arts Decoratifs, in Strasbourg in 2008. Her work has been exhibited at VIA in Paris, the Design Huis in Eindhoven, and her ‘Top of Furnitures’ project was selected for auction by Pierre Bergé & Associés. After an internship with Marcel Wanders studio in Amsterdam, she moved to Oslo and worked as a product designer with Frost Produkt from 2008-2012. Now based in London, Julie has worked with Goodwin Hartshorn studio before joining MAP Project Office‘s team. When she finds the time, she creates functional and playful furniture pieces like her table ‘Pinto’ or her desk ‘Home’. In 2014, her armchair “Le Feuilleté” designed with Lili Gayman received the VIA Project Assistant grant.

Hackaball is smart and expressive ball aimed at 6-10 year olds who can program and design their own games using a companion App. Hackaball can sense motions like being dropped, bounced, kicked or shaken and responds with light and sound. It has not only been designed to be robust and tactile but has also been designed to be opened up and assembled by the user. Hackaball will be in the Kickstarter backers hands for christmas.

While many people need a place to work from home, it is also important to have the option to clear the ‘work’ place. ‘Home’ enables users to sink their work into the depths of the desk’s wooden interior, transforming a working environment into a homely one. Material: Walnut and powder coated steel - Dimensions: W.90 x H.83 x D.60 cm
