  • Assistant Hall Manager at Connaught & College Halls, UoL - Managing staff onsite (Security, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Catering) and make sure all parties have all information required to perform their duties - Student registration – 600 x students across two halls. Prepare and send out all welcome information, managing the check in process and answer all related queries - In charge of organising the annual 3 x day training for the Intercollegiate Halls’ ‘senior members’, including booking external and internal speakers (modules such as First Aid, Mental Health Awareness, Drug Awareness, Conflict Resolution, Equality & Diversity), managing room bookings (layout, equipment, catering) and prepare and purchase all event materials and event schedule - Organise and host ‘Open Days’ and arrange visitor tours of the halls - Manage room allocations of B&B summer guests and summer school students - Booking meeting rooms for heads of department and ensuring rooms and equipment are correctly set up - Answering email queries and patching through calls - Liaising with suppliers, obtaining quotes and purchasing items for the Halls - Acting as Hall Manager in Hall Manager’s absence - Project management of Hall refurbishment - Dealing with Metropolitan police and head of Security in matters that require presence of Hall Management - Carry out monthly H&S inspections and cleaning inspections
