About me
My interest in jewellery making stemmed from product design at A-level, I progressed onto the, Ba: fashion jewellery degree at LCF. I’ve found that after being on this degree for almost two years I have developed a good eye for detail and enjoy exploring materials further to create something new. I like to draw inspiration from all around me, a lot of my inspiration is from my cultural background as well as Religion, astrology and spirituality. Styles that I’m greatly influenced by vintage, greek/roman, egyptian, indian jewellery. Traditional techniques in gold are aesthetically pleasing to me. This with the combination of geometrical shapes/architeture, symbols and structures. In a few of my projects explored ways of recreating gemstones in different materials, such as paper laminates and concrete. Having a good awareness of market trends, branding and consumer focus combined with a keen eye for detail allows me to create good materials boards, colour boards and creating a concepts for jewellery in particular. Studying product design for A-level has helped with my understanding of product branding and has furthered my understanding of product branding for jewellery in my university work. Im passionate about visual concepts and new media such as film & music- which I'm hoping to explore in the near future. After studying on the Ba jewellery course at london college of fashion, I have learnt a great deal from completing 5 projects with different briefs and being introduced to a wide variety of materials combined with modern casting techniques as well as some traditional metal working techniques. I am now working towards my final major project and look forward to my third and final year of study at London College of Fashion and exploring my design aesthetic further to create a collection that represents my style and vision. I also love 90's fashion and models from that fashion period
