About me
My name is Kacie, and I'm a word nerd. I’ve been called a writer, an editor, a proofreader, a researcher, a copywriter, and an in-house syntax enthusiast. I’ve traveled across North America, Southeast Asia, the United Kingdom, and Australia to work on everything from travel magazines to art books, novels, horoscopes, city guides, and 360 marketing campaigns. I’ve earned a bachelor’s degree, completed an experiential master's program, and attended an editing intensive called “Stop. Grammar Time.” But these things only matter because they’ve given me the opportunity to sit down with extraordinary people and help them tell their stories. I write. I read. I edit. And I love what I do.

  • Finding Beauty In The Unadorned Wall: An Interview With John Pawson
Finding Beauty In The Unadorned Wall: An Interview With John PawsonMinimalism is a term that is often misconstrued in this day and age. It has become a sort of catch-all, with various renditions, definitions, and faces. But when witnessed in its honest form, minimalism has the ability to stir up feeling, prompting us to pause and encounter something that is both outside of and deeply within ourselves. Or, as John Pawson describes: “engage in the process of subtraction.”
  • Castello di Potentino: A Return to Tradition
Castello di Potentino: A Return to TraditionTucked inside a secret valley in one of the last undiscovered corners of Tuscany sits an ancient stone structure surrounded by unspoiled countryside. Dating back to the Etruscan civilization, Castello di Potentino was once a cultural center of the region, bearing witness to the artistic prowess of Classical Antiquity, the Renaissance, and the Age of Discovery. But somewhere amid the modern era, the castle and its grounds were abandoned.
  • Do Photo: Observe. Compose. Capture. Stand out.
Do Photo: Observe. Compose. Capture. Stand out. This isn’t a book about how to take the best pictures. It’s not even about the technical aspects of photography or how to “make it” as a photographer. In fact, it argues that you should take fewer photographs. By sharing the 10 practices he’s honed behind the lens, Andrew Paynter encourages readers to develop a more considered approach to photography so that they can create memorable, more impactful images. ̌ Ghostwriter | Do Book Co.
