About me
"I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for." Georgia O'Keefee. Arts and Design have made my world the inspirational place to live and been with me all the steps that I take since I was a child. My passion makes me decide to step into the department of interior design at Silpakorn University, the most prestigious art university in Thailand as an interior design student. Four years of studying at Silpakorn University allows me to learn a wide range of subjects and skills and to have a firm ground of architecture and interior design. Apart from the major subjects, basic aesthetics and architecture study are two highlighted courses which change my perspective of art studying. Basic aesthetic provides me the fundamental ways of arts appreciation, while architecture study gains me the crystallized and systematic thinking skills. I can proudly say that all the academic course and trainings at Silpakorn University cultivate and transform me to become a second-to-none designer. In addition to the academic study, the extracurricular activity participation also leads me to have the invaluable skills which cannot gain from study in classes. For example, as a selected leader of “Gift festival” (the biggest art festival in Bangkok), I learnt the managerial skills and interpersonal skills which can surely benefit me in the future. During the summer breaks of 2012 and 2013, I had the internship at Harper + Associates Architecture for 3 months as an interior designer. I was trained by the wide range of department leads: an interior designer, an architect designer and a creative. More importantly, I was entrusted by Harper with handling projects far beyond the scope of my expertise. I handled the contractors of projects and represented Harper Company in project presentations for clients. The internship shapes me to be a productive designer with a professional manner. The thesis, the prerequisite of graduation requirement, shaped both my imagination and passion into the possible and workable frame. My thesis's theme is “The Creativity Center for Thai Artist Rattanakosin”.The redefinitions of the center of Thai craft to provide creative activities and inspiration toward the design of Thai’s identity in an innovative ways. The completion of my thesis gave me such a fulfilling and rewarding spirit, due to the fact that my knowledge and skills can be crystalized to provide contribution to the invaluable traditional Thai heritage. After graduation, I was given the chrished offer from Very Kind Invention Company as a creative designer position. My proudest moment is when the company selected to transform my idea “SIWILAI” to become a touching concrete image. Without doubt, one year employment at Very Kind Invention Company ended up gaining me worthwhile experiences and never-before-seen lucid professional goal as the creative thinker. After graduation, my professional aim is to work both domestically and internationally to absorb and appreciate the cultural differences and boundless perspectives in terms of arts and design and critical thinking before

  • creativity center
creativity center ABSTRCT - The architecture of Rattanakosin Island, conserved or deserted, has always been conserved by the governmental authorities. However, one of the inconvenient truths which is always overlooked is the potentials and creative ideas of local communities and the youth. In fact, the local participation in architectural conservation can not only develop the art appreciation among the young and the economics but also bring Rattanakosin back to life. In fact, the development requires the attention in Thai uniqueness and the wisdom of Thai artisan in terms of knowledge and techniques for Thai design. The traditional Thai designs are improved and widely publicize to young generation and foreigners until they are integrated into Thai modern designs and become more interesting and unique. The premise of the concept that “The timeless beauty integration for the development of originality” is the bridge between the beauty of the past and the present which results in the legendary design with individual and national value because the contrast between two qualities can enhance their own uniqueness to be more distinct.
