Hi! I'm Kamara.
I am a 23-year-old, (BA Hons) Graphic Communication and Illustration graduate from Loughborough University.
Alongside attaining my bachelor’s degree I have gained a Diploma in International Studies by studying abroad in Denmark for a year at one of the top-ranking design schools in Europe. I have become adaptable and a fast learner after this experience, and I believe it has enlightened me culturally and broadened my creativity.
My years of study have allowed me to obtain a vast amount of multidisciplinary abilities and insights such as communication in design, strategizing, interactive design, data transformation, and analysis. I particularly enjoy researching & ideation the most!
Alongside this, it has supplied me with a diverse skill set and knowledge of Creative Cloud software, particularly Indesign, Illustrator and After effects to name a few.
I have a multitude of interests, including reading, photography, running and styling clothes. A fun fact about me is that I have also been a dedicated blood donor for 6 years.

Projects
- Kamara's KrochetsI run an Instagram page called ‘Kamara’s Krochets’ and in the near future hope to start selling my original ethical crochet clothing and creations. Implementing the skills I have learnt from my graphic communication degree, I actively am creating innovative and original content (including posts, stories, and highlights). Utilising, photography, videography, graphic design, art direction, and styling to do so. As I run this social platform on my own, it has allowed me to bring all of my passion

Projects credited in
- Alice: Through the Looking GlassA book that visually re-interprets the Lewis Carroll novel, 'Alice: Through the Looking Glass', for adults. It has a dark and gory theme, and tells a story through cohesive design and typography, whilst still allowing each illustrator to convey elements of their own style, seeing each chapter through their unique lens. This work was part of a University project.

Most recently, I have worked with Labrum London, a modern-day menswear brand founded in 2015, telling the untold stories of West Africa to help bridge the gap between western and West African culture. My responsibilities are quite diverse. From editorial designing both digital and printed communications, such as newsletters, packaging design, and informational presentation packs for the company and PR. Working collaboratively to artwork storytelling content, typography, and compositions for our global outreach campaign. Whilst working in a fast-paced environment to deadlines and brand guidelines to create presentation packs for distribution and pitches. I am also responsible for managing Labrum’s social media content and engagement analysis in order to strengthen the brand’s cohesive story across their Instagram.
