I am a passionate and quick thinking Visual Merchandiser, who has a natural flair for being able to multitask and build relationships with potential clients, team members or suppliers. Problem-solving, attention to detail and leadership count as my core strengths,
Alongside regular sales activities, I assist on a weekly basis in re-merchandising the shop floor. Due to the fast paced nature of high street retail, this can mean refitting mannequins and fixtures across all product divisions from Womenswear, menswear and children’s product categories. I always ensure that I adhere to corporate guidelines whilst creatively utilising props and table displays to create a fresh experience needed to entice customers to rediscover the store.
My initial responsibility was to construct a store VM plan - this applied company guidelines to launching new campaigns and promotions to all product categories across both window and in-store displays. Whilst in the role I built a close relationship with our head office buying team, reporting back weekly on multiply operations. Through shop walks with the store manager, I would assess displays, identify incorrect pricing and POS info positioning. Furthermore, I performed monthly comp shopping of local opposition brands enabling us to stay relevant within our local market. Lastly I analysed weekly best/worst seller reports to fine tune layout/ presentation of displays to react to type of footfall
This role allowed me to build my unique eye for detail and my development in business strategising. I reviewed daily stock levels and sales flow to identify customer segments and market trends, to avoid any missed sales opportunities. I was given the opportunity to have creative control and I was also employed to coordinate our online concession within ASOS. This involved partnering with the photographer to reshoot content/style lookbooks/ compose campaigns all to deadlines set by the brand owner.
