About me
Karima is a creative producer from Athens, Greece. After studying Law at the University of York, she completed a minor degree in Media and Communications at the American College of Greece. Keen to pursue her passion for film, she collaborated with Stefanos Sitaras on his debut feature ‘The Rocket’, which was screened at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival. In the same year she joined Polyplanity Productions, a theater company, as a creative assistant. In 2016, she moved to London to work at Target Media, managing film distribution clients like Curzon, Altitude and the BFI. She is currently doing an MA in Producing at the National Film and Television School during which she has produced live action, animation and documentary shorts. Karima's first film at the school, 'Culling' won the Best Short Film Award at the Warsaw International Film Festival and competed in numerous others including Sitges and London Short Film Festival. Parallel to her studies, Karima is doing freelance work, reading books for film and TV production company Esperanto Filmoj. She is fluent in Greek, English and French and her aspiration is to develop an expertise in co-productions that will enhance her passion for cross-cultural storytelling.
