About me

I’ve been lecturing in popular music for 5 years. I specialise in popular music history, vinyl record culture (My PhD) and artist development. I have worked with UWS, BIMM, ICMP, Academy of Music and Sound and University of Birmingham. I’ve had a brilliant time hosting a podcast called The Songs Are Spells podcast where I interview music industry guests such as Aurora and IDLES on music and magic. linktr.ee/songsarespells I speak at industry events such as Wide Days, Goldsmiths, Durham, Westminster and most recently, Making Vinyl in Nashville.
