About me
I am a recent MA Animation graduate of the University of the Arts London with a BA(Hons) in Illustration from the University of Brighton. My main specialism is 2D animation, both digital and traditional, that emphasises a delicacy and tactility seen in physical media. Often organic and fluid, my work draws from a love of mark-making, and atmospheric and emotional storytelling, and is usually inspired by the natural environment, nostalgia and the significance of space and a sense of place. • In Blue | Animation Campaign for Spitalfields Crypt Trust
In Blue | Animation Campaign for Spitalfields Crypt Trust‘In Blue' is an evocative and emotionally-sensitive digital 2D animated poem created in collaboration with SCT, a charity based in East London that helps those affected by homelessness and addiction. Inspired by a poem written by a man in recovery at SCT, the 2:08-long animation details the conflicts faced and the progress made in recovery through both literal and metaphoric representations. These scenes are fluid, morphing from one to the other, and guiding the viewer between each stanza. With

Created a series of informed and creative 2D animations inspired by the Pictish carvings in Sculptor's Cave for the production, Waxen Figures, a multi-sensory composition and live performance by artist, Samm Anga, commissioned by Cryptic. This required me to tie together both extensive research on the subject and personal creative interpretation in order to produce smooth and interconnected animations that were engaging, enlightening and invited further conversation about the meaning of the symbols.
