Visual Communication graduate from the National College of Art and Design, with additional Studio + year. Primarily interested in design for Moving image, Design for Print and Illustration. The work I like to create is lead by research and draws attention to objects or stories that have been overlooked or undervalued. I like to mix digital elements with scanned hand-drawn textures. - In but not ofIn but not of is a publication that explores the Direct Provision system in Ireland. Direct Provision is the accommodation provided by the Irish state, to those seeking asylum while they wait for their application to be processed. This system was first established in the 1990s, when Ireland suddenly receive a large influx of people seeking asylum. I was commissioned by Fingal County Council to design a workbook for those cocooning in the Dublin 15 area during the Corona virus pandemic. Together we created an activity book containing puzzles, recipes and poems, that was distributed to those who were vulnerable in the area. It was an enjoyable and worthwhile project. After this project I created a second Workbook for older people to archive their memories that was stored in the Irish National Archive
